Father Robert's November Newsletter

Thy Kingdom Come!

Mexico City, November 2018

Dear Friends, peace,

Time has come for the last newsletter of 2018. So much has happened since July! The building of the regional headquarters in Nigeria is coming along nicely: perhaps even a bit too fast. We hope to be ready by April of 2019.

We began the School of the Faith in eleven dioceses in Zambia and one in Malawi (East Africa): pray for the growth of this mission! We are humbled by the gratitude of the students. Some walk for over 10 miles to attend class; others attend class after exhausting days of traditional farming.

Back in Mexico, our care for the homeless is getting better. We can now ensure a clean bed, a shower, food, clean clothes and medical attention to anyone who shows up, although only for a couple of nights. A group in my parish has opened a little thrift store to help support this.

Our bamboo and lime tree project in northern Mexico was almost hit by Hurricane Willa the other day; thank God we did not take a direct hit, and the extra rain was apparently helpful. Our first really big crop should be December 2019, so we have to hold out for one more year.

We are doing our best to concentrate on our main mission: value-based, spirituality-based education. It seems that there are so many foundations out there doing good, but neglecting to provide beneficiaries with the cultural know-how to eventually become free from needing external help. We try to stay faithful to this mission!

But I’ll let the pictures of the report speak for me! Since this is my last letter this year, I would like to take the opportunity to thank all of you who have sent donations throughout the year. Please consider making an end-of-the-year donation if you have the possibility of doing so. My last fundraising letter was not very successful (sent at the height of summer vacation) and we have been robbing from Peter to pay Paul ever since!

I am praying for you, your family, and your intentions. Please keep us in your prayers, especially for the School we have just begun in Zambia and Malawi!

Father Robert
