Dear Friends, peace,
Time is flying and I want to send you some news before Easter! First thanks to all of you who were praying for a solution to the technical difficulties I wrote of in the last letter. Our priest beneficiaries once again receive their support on time, despite the insanity of the banks’ algorithms. Unfortunately, to avoid triggering them and being blocked again, I need to do all the monthly transfers myself. I am trying to delegate other tasks I no longer have time for to other team members. Please pray that I manage to follow the Holy Spirit’s recommendations!
Since we last spoke, CANELA sent out a video report about the sufferings of the Church in Nigeria, and our work there. You can see it here:
In the video I spoke of our goal to raise the transport costs for our teachers in Nigeria, in total about $4,800 a year. We have managed to raise about ¼ of that so far. PLEASE take a moment to SHARE this video with your acquaintances; many people ‘in the know’ have told me that this is the best way to grow our fundraising base. Thanks!
Our work with The School of the Faith in Africa is spreading like wildfire, see the pics in the enclosed report. Keep this in your prayers, especially our work in Western Africa.
This letter should get to you during Lent. I encourage you to try to spend more quality time in prayer. When we make an effort to be quiet, we often hear the voice of the Lord. That changes everything. This is why many of our poorer brothers and sisters find Him before we do: the absence of external distractions leaves us alone with Him.
I am praying for you, your family and your intentions. Yours,
Fr. Robert
